Rolling gates, who installs them? Why do we need them?

Rolling gates are commonly used for commercial establishments for protection. In the morning the manager/owner usually comes and has to open that gate before gaining access to the establishment. They come in different fire ratings if needed, but are used to protect storefront window displays from vandals and burglaries. Rolling steel gates normally fold up into a compartment overhead which makes for a clean look when not in use. Depending on size they can be manually operated (push up), chain operated or have a motor to assist in opening or closing. Some merchants like pedestrians to see the display even when the business is closed so they opt for a see thru grill. Others use solid so noone can see what is behind the gate. Rolling gates are effective in providing security to a rather expensive storefront. They are quickly installed and last a long time with the proper maintenance.
